Thanks for your votes!

LRC Thank you for voting

With your continued support, LRC has been pressing on, making gains through tutoring services and test preparation programming this semester.

Not only are your efforts paying off in these ways, but because of you, we have been named a top 3 Learning Center in Central Florida for the fourth consecutive year!

The Ledger’s 2020 Best of Central Florida contest granted the public an opportunity to support their local favorites in 170+ categories, ranging from educational to health services (and everything in between), during two installments in August and September. During the first, individuals submitted online nominations in any or all the categories. From there, the nominations were narrowed to the top 5. The second round granted users the chance to vote daily for their favorite of the five in each category. Concluding the second round, The Ledger then recognized the top 3 winners. With more than 238,000 total votes cast throughout the competition, we consider it no small feat to be named a top 3 finalist!

Thank you for your many nominations and votes lending us this public recognition as a Central Florida Best Learning Center.

LRC named a Top 3 Central Florida Learning Center

With three rounds of public nominations and voting over three months, LRC was once again named one of Central Florida’s top learning centers. Thank you to all who voted!

Best of the Best

We are truly grateful for the many votes LRC received during each round of The Ledger’s Best of the Best Polk competition last year. Your nominations and votes awarded us the title of Polk’s 2017 Best Learning & Tutoring Center.

The time has come, and the first round of the 2018 competition is taking place now. We’re asking for your assistance again to help us defend our title!

The first round began on Sunday, June 10, 2018 and continues through Sunday, June 24, 2018. In this stage, voters nominate the organizations, businesses, people, etc. that they believe best fit each category. Voters can enter nominees for all 150+ categories or just one category daily. We need your help nominating us, the Learning Resource Center, as the Best Learning Center/Tutor for 2018.

To help us advance to the second round, please nominate LRC daily through Sunday, June 24 under the Kids & Education: Learning Center/Tutor category at TheLedger.com/Contests.

Another way to help is by spreading the word to friends, family and co-workers by email, social media, word of mouth, phone and/or any other ways you can think of. We appreciate any help you can lend.

As an added incentive, when you nominate 25 or more, you will be entered to win a $500 gift card from The Ledger Media Group.

Thanks for your support in this initiative!

The Learning Resource Center has been named Polk County’s Best Learning Center of 2017.

LRC learned of this distinction at The Ledger’s awards ceremony on the evening of September 21 at the R.P. Funding Center. The top three winners of each category were first revealed leading up to the announcement of overall winners.

The Ledger created The Best of the Best awards in 2016. Adding new categories including the Learning Center/Tutor category, the 2017 contest gave the public the opportunity to vote for their favorites in 149 categories during two installments. In the first round, individuals were able to submit their nomination daily in any or all of the 149 categories, which ranged from education and dining to shopping and services (among others). The second round began in mid July and allowed voters the chance to select one of the top five nominations in each category daily over two weeks. More than 450,000 votes were cast throughout the competition. Succeeding the two rounds, The Ledger revealed the best local business winners during a banquet in late September. The winners were also published in the newspaper following the ceremony.
