ACT Prep

ACT Prep provides an efficient and effective 20-hour course designed to help students achieve their best possible score on the exam. This course provides small classes with highly trained teachers, problem-solving strategies for analyzing and answering ACT questions, practice taking the ACT, emphasis on test-taking techniques and strategies specific to the exam that build confidence and reduce test anxiety.

The full 20-hour course will cover ACT Math and English/Reading.

LRC’s ACT Preparation Course builds confident, successful students through an efficient and effective 20-hour course by….

  • Engaging in problem-solving strategies for analyzing and answering ACT questions
  • Reinforcing skills through interaction and review
  • Building confidence and reducing test anxiety
    through test-taking strategies

LRC will provide the necessary supplies for this course. Please bring your own laptop.

Space is limited; early registration is encouraged.

Program Goals:

To thoroughly prepare high school students to achieve their highest score on the ACT

Who:

ACT Prep is designed to assist students in grades 9-12 who are preparing to take the ACT

What:

Math and English/Reading will be covered to help all students maximize their learning potential.

When & Where:

LRC offers ACT Prep courses throughout the year. In summer, classes are held daily over one week. During spring and fall, classes are held on Mondays (Math) and Wednesdays (English/Reading) from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m.

September 2026: Sept. 21 – Oct. 14
Mondays (Math): 9/21, 9/28, 10/5, 10/12
Wednesdays (Reading/English): 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/14
Test Date: October 17, 2026

November 2026: Nov. 9 – Dec. 9
Mondays (Math): 11/9, 11/16, 11/30, 12/7
Wednesdays (Reading/English): 11/11, 11/18, 12/2, 12/9
**No classes the week of Fall Break (11/23-11/27)
Test Date: December 12, 2026

February 2027: Feb. 1 – Feb. 24
Mondays (Math): 2/1, 2/8, 2/15, 2/22
Wednesdays (Reading/English): 2/3, 2/10, 2/17, 2/24
Test Date: March 6, 2027

March 2027: March 8 – April 7
Mondays (Math): 3/8, 3/22, 3/29, 4/5
Wednesdays (Reading/English): 3/10, 3/24, 3/31, 4/7
**No classes the week of Spring Break (3/15-3/19)
Test Date: April 10, 2027

More information: LRC will provide the necessary supplies for this course. The cost of this program also includes an ACT Prep book. Please bring your own laptop.
