The Site Director will be the onsite coordinator for the the PEP Board (Public Education Partnership) and the Learning Resource Center (LRC), and will:
Ensure that all students and staff are safe and that all staff are engaged with the students at all times. Maintain the building and delegate jobs as appropriate. Ensure staff are meeting their job descriptions and assist them in all ways to be successful. Coordinate with the PEP Executive Director and the Executive Director of the Learning Resource Center. This person will:
Program’s Mission: After-School support program for struggling students who attend Winter Haven schools;
Schedule: Polk County Schools calendar; Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 3-6 p.m.—additional hours, if needed to be approved by the PEP Executive Director or the Learning Resource Center;
Begin date: Early September
Rate of Pay: $25 per hour; $15 per hour for training, if applicable;

The Public Education Partnership of Winter Haven, Inc. (PEP), in tandem with Polk State College Foundation, is seeking an energetic, motivated, and community-service oriented high school junior/senior or college student to volunteer in the after-school Healthy Eating Program at the PEP Education Center, 203 Avenue R, NE. In addition to service hours and the autonomy to build, shape, and expand PEP’s phenomenal Healthy Eating Program, the chosen student will receive a $10,000 college scholarship after successfully completing a school year of service. Hours are Mondays – Thursdays from 2:45 – 5:45 PM when school and the PEP Education Center are in session and are flexible for training, shopping, planning, fundraising, gardening, etc. The application process will end at 6 PM on Friday, September 2nd, 2022.

Priority will be given to students interested in the fields of teaching, nutrition, health, and wellness, but any student with the desire and ability to excel in this position and that has a passion for healthy eating, children, and blazing a trail that will affect true life-changing reform should apply.
