Marketing Specialist
The Learning Resource Center of Polk County, Inc, a 47-year old community not-for-profit, is seeking a marketing specialist who can coordinate its advertising and community awareness initiatives, as well as be its social media writer to craft contextual, social and email content to support digital marketing campaigns. This position is a part-time (approximately 25-29 hours per week) opportunity.
Expectations for a team member in this role are to:
- Discover effective marketing and promotional channels, including media platforms to be used to relay product messages to customers;
- Create innovative marketing campaigns depending on robust data and present the recommendations to management;
- Investigate the performance of LRC’s marketing campaigns and strategies through evaluating key performance metrics;
- Lead the Staff, Boards, and Volunteers in executing an effective marketing plan to build knowledge, trust, and relationships in the community;
- Conduct market research to identify customer trends, competitor offerings and demographic data.
- Initiate branding ideas, graphic designs, promotional material, and advertising copies;
- Create goals and objectives in order to approach customers through appropriate marketing channels; and
- Help in outbound and inbound marketing activities by displaying expertise in certain areas such as events planning, advertising, optimization and content development.
Qualifications for this position are:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field;
- 2-5 years of experience in marketing;
- Strong knowledge of various marketing and analytics tools such as Google Analytics;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Skilled in writing and editing content with an attention to detail; and
- Strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills
