Volunteer with LRC at Pigfest 2024!

The Learning Resource Center has the opportunity to fill lots of volunteer shifts and log hundreds of hours during the Lakeland’s beloved PigFest event!

Each year, the Learning Resource Center partners with PigFest, providing volunteers to assist. In return, LRC earns funds based on the amount of service hours that LRC staff, board members, and community volunteers serve.

Volunteers are needed January 24-27 (the event is open to the public Friday-Saturday, January 25-27).

This is where you can help:

LRC’s gratitude overflows for the many awesome volunteers who dedicate their time to serve with LRC annually. Just as years past, LRC volunteer opportunities will take place in the judging area (ages 16+), on golf cart shuttles (ages 18+ with valid driver’s license-proof required), and in the VIP area (ages 18+).

What LRC volunteers say about PigFest:

“I’ve been looking forward to working PigFest again, since that last event. I look forward to hearing from you about the available volunteer opportunities at this year’s event.” -R. Halstead

“This will be my third time volunteering, and I love doing so every time. Volunteering for an event like PigFest, that brings the community together, is rewarding when you see the smiles on guests’ faces and can appreciate the hard work of local organizations.” -J.Torres
