Program Goals: The Learning Resource Center’s GED® Preparation Course is designed to help students achieve their best possible score on the GED® test. This course provides small classes with a highly-trained instructor; problem-solving strategies for analyzing and answering GED® questions; practice taking GED® exams; emphasis on test-taking techniques and strategies specific to the GED® that help build confidence and reduce test anxiety.
The GED® test is comprised of four subjects created to test students’ skills and knowledge in different topics. The four subjects are:

When: 12:30-2:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays for 4 consecutive weeks;

Social Studies begins May 22

What: The first GED® Preparation course will focus on GED® Mathematical Reasoning and will take place over 8 weeks to prepare students for the math exam. The second session will begin in April and focus on Social Studies for four weeks. Science and Language Arts will follow and take place over four weeks each. A pre-test will be required, and 12 students will be selected for the course based on their pre-test score.
Cost of Course: Once accepted into the course, the cost will be $25.
