LRC-PEP After School Program

Your child is invited to participate in the PEP-LRC After School Academic Camp at the PEP Education Center, 203 Ave. R, NE.

The goal of this program is to help your child to improve proficiency in reading and/or mathematics, to help your child to be even more successful in school, and to have fun.

Qualified teachers will:

Provide students with intensive reading or math instruction
Provide homework support
Offer recreation options including sports, art, cooking, gardening, and games
Serve a healthy snack

Space is limited; early registration is encouraged.

1st-5th Graders in Winter Haven

An Academic After School Camp at the PEP Education Center

When & Where:

PEP Center, 203 Ave. R, NE Winter Haven, FL 33860
Mondays – Thursdays, after school from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m.

Camp begins on Monday, September 8, 2025

Additional Details:

School buses will transport eligible students from school to the Center. Parents/guardians are responsible for picking their child up from Camp at 5:30 p.m. (no sooner) each day.

This program is provided to children at no charge through funding by an anonymous Winter Haven donor, the Polk County Schools, The Learning Resource Center, and the United Way of Central Florida.

Your Child and you must commit to Regular Attendance, Engaged Participation, and Positive Attitude.

More information: There are 50 slots available, and students will be admitted on a “first come, first served” basis. If interest exceeds the number of available positions, students will be placed on a waiting list.
