PEP Summer Camp

For: K-5 (Elementary)

PEP Super Summer Science Camp will give students the opportunity to explore science and the arts through interaction with hands-on projects. Camp will take place over six weeks and will feature different STEM activities weekly. Choose to attend one week or all six weeks!
Space is limited; early registration is encouraged!

 
 

Program Goals:

To provide academic enrichment for elementary students during the summer months.
 

What:

Students will increase vocabulary, knowledge base, skills sets and computing power while having a blast!

Campers will also have the opportunity to:

  • Create muddy, slimy hands-on fun
  • Build structures, bridges, catapults and rockets
  • Navigate with maps and compasses to find treasure and explore the outside world
  • Build and program robots
  • Fly drones and compete in the drone hula-hoop challenge
  • Build a vinegar & baking soda powered boat to launch on the lake
  • Create a website and/or learn design skills on the computer
  • Build igloos and melting snowmen on a hot summer snow day
  • Enjoy a snack and sports outside

 

Who:

Students entering 2nd through 6th grade
 

When:

June 17-July 25, 2019, Monday-Thursday, 1-4 p.m.

Winter Haven PEP Center, 203 Avenue R NE, Winter Haven
 

Cost:

A one-time $25 registration fee
