“Everybody can be great, because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve. You don’t have to know the second theory of thermodynamics in physics to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.” -Martin Luther King, Jr.
Volunteers help LRC thrive and are indispensable to our organization. By becoming a volunteer, you will make a difference in our community! We appreciate your consideration. To learn how you can volunteer with LRC, please email judiw@lrcpolk.com or call LRC at 863-688-9477.
In addition to our year-round volunteer opportunities, LRC seeks PigFest volunteers for the annual BBQ event taking place in January. Duties typically include golf cart shuttle drivers (ages 18+) and judging area assistants (ages 16+). If you have an interest, call LRC at 863-688-9477 or email judiw@lrcpolk.com.
The first step is to email judiw@lrcpolk.com. Please be sure to include your contact information and your volunteer area of interest. She will contact you to determine the best match for our current needs.
Please note that court-ordered community service is NOT part of the volunteer program.
