Program Goals: Learning Resource Center’s ACT Preparation Course provides an efficient and effective 23-hour course designed to help students achieve their best possible score on the ACT. This course provides: Small classes with highly trained teachers; Problem-solving strategies for analyzing and answering ACT questions; Practice taking ACT exams; Emphasis on test-taking techniques and strategies specific to the ACT that help build confidence and reduce test anxiety.
Who: Students in grades 9-12
When: In the summer, the course will take place Monday-Friday for one week only.
5:30-8:00 p.m. on Mondays (math/science) and Wednesdays (English/reading) for 4 consecutive weeks (with the exception of school holidays), and 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. one Saturday only for writing during the school year.

ACT date: September 9
ACT prep courses are offered in fall, winter, spring and summer.

What: Test-Taking strategies that build confidence and reduce test anxiety with highly trained teachers. How: Acquaint students with the ACT test format and types of questions, as well as, provide a review of relevant content and application of research-based problem-solving techniques with highly trained instructors.
